Antandros is an ancient Troad city, located at the skirts of Kaz Dağları (ancient Ida Mountain), on the northern coastline of the Edremit gulf in Altınoluk, Edremit, city of Balıkesir. It is stationed at the Kaletaşı hilltop spreading through the climax and the western slopes, creating a checkpoint and looking over the road connecting Mysia and Aiolis to Troy

Modern Location

Antandros lies within the boundaries of Altınoluk premise of Edremit, Balıkesir. It lies on the north of Edremit Gulf, and at the southern skirts of Kaz Dağları (Ida Mountain), 2.5 km east of Altınoluk, covering the climax and the western slopes of Kaletaşı hilltop with a 215 m. altitude. The Çanakkale- Edremit highway runs right through the ancient city of Antandros.
